I guess there isn’t as much hoopla as the Fourth of July, but Veterans’ Day is a time for celebration too.  It’s just mind-boggling to think of all the veterans who loved their country enough to serve, and all the vets who gave their lives for us.  Thank a veteran today, and teach your kids to do the same!  As homeschoolers, our children miss out on learning The Pledge of Allegiance and reciting it in school each day.  Maybe Veterans’ Day is a good time to teach it to them!  It’s also a great time for a quick review of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence….These things matter so much but are so often overlooked in our busy, everyday lives.  Take this special holiday to heart, and teach your kids about what it means to defend America!
